This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing App Manager on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

Simple and pretty, it does its job and does it well. Backup/restore APK works well, as does Uninstall (it can even uninstall itself !) It would be nice to see system apps though, and also if the app could remember last sort method.

App Manager is a light-weight tool designed to simply help the user to batch uninstall and backup applications with the least amount of permissions as possible. To protect user's data! This application does not "image" your phone.

Why doesn't App Manager back up certain applications?
Usually the application was installed in the "/data/app-private" folder which is protected. Usually system application are stored here.
