Instructions are in Portuguese, which I understand enough of to get by. But even if you don't, there are only a few instructions and commands to translate. There is very little explanation to help you, but it's fairly intuitive. You'll need a way to measure the distance between you and the base of the tree, but the rest you can do with your phone. I tested it out on something with the same height as me and it was accurate to within 3% (and that was probably user inaccuracy...).
