About this app

This app is developed for our research project (https://sites.google.com/view/sabbir-eub/projects/funded-projects/happy-student-life). Through this app, (with your consent) we will collect data about you (not your name, email etc., but data like your age, education), your mental mental health (based on scales [2, 3]) and your smartphone usage behavior. However, we will not give you any advice related to your mental health or others. Moreover, we will not collect any data without your consent.

After agreeing with our consent form (in the app), this app will collect the following data:

Media Access Control (MAC) address
We will store encrypted MAC address of your smartphone. This means, we will never see your actual MAC address. Moreover, this address will be removed just after 90 days after completion of data collection.

Subjective Data
In addition to demographic characteristics (e.g. age, education, CGPA) and some other data (e.g. sleep), we will collect
1. response about your weekly app usage
2. opinion about your mental health, based on well established scales [1, 2].

App Usage Data
Primarily, we will collect your app usage data of past 1 year. In addition, we will collect the time required to retrieve your app usage data.
