Using BlueStacks

About this app

This app accompanies a Bluetooth module compatible with a solenoid based braking system designed for Bowie the robot. This robot was created by Robot Missions, an organization aiming to reduce pollution in ecosystems worldwide.

The app features:

- Three braking modes including, manual, slow harmonic motion, and fast harmonic motion.

Button Control:
- Manual braking: turns solenoid on while button is pressed (designed for Bowie's emergency situations when unresponsive or out of control)
- Slow harmonic braking: turns solenoid on and off while button is pressed at a slow frequency pattern. (aimed towards aiding Bowie's travels downhill)
- Fast harmonic braking: turns solenoid on and off while button is pressed at a fast frequency pattern. (aimed towards aiding Bowie's travels down steeper hills)

Voice Control (Internet connection required):
- Activates Manual braking when user inputs voice command of "manual."
- Activates Slow harmonic braking when user inputs voice command of "slow."
- Activates Slow harmonic braking when user inputs voice command of "fast."
- De-activates braking when user inputs voice command of "off."
