This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Lock Decoding Notepad on PC Windows and Mac.

I used to us post it notes and got this app because I liked the idea of consolidating things to my phone. Now that I've had it for several weeks, I never want to go back to pen and paper. The app is faster and easier to use than pen and paper. Thanks for the great app!

About this app

This is a virtual notepad that allows the locksmith to record the depths of cuts while decoding a vehicle lock. It supports wafer / tumbler placements of 1-6, 1-8, 2-7, 3-8 and 3-10. The ability to enter half cuts is also an option. Also, most high security vehicles are included in the app. The idea of this app was presented to me by fellow locksmith Dave Adkisson. Thanks Dave!

New features

Version 15 adds a fast universal 1-10 screen.
Version 13 increases the GM HU100 to ten spaces.
Another enhancement is the "Hold To Clear" function which prevents accidental clearing of the data. The newest feature of the app is the ability to record BCM and PIN code data.
January 28 2014. Version 10.0 adds the "Hold To Go Home" function to prevent accidental erasure of data. Also, some font issues were corrected.
