This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing GPS Send It on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. About this app

"GPS Send It" is a very simple app to quickly share your Latitude, Longitude and general address location as provided by Google Services. This app was developed by a Wildland Firefighter who was looking for a no hassle means to quickly share location information in the wildland uniform standard (Fire aviation) GPS format of Degrees, Decimal Minutes. This only has one screen, no mapping function, and only three function buttons.

To use the app simply open the application, wait for the GPS fix upon satellite reception, enter either a phone number or email address manually, or use the contact picker to select someone from your phone's storage, and click the Send Position button. Information will be copied into your default text message application. At that point you can send the text as usual or choose to edit the message prior to sending. When the recipient opens the text, the Lat/Long, the address given (if available), and a Google Map hyperlink will be displayed that will open in their default mapping application with a single tap.

GPSend is not limited to only wildfire use, it's use extends into many other practical areas. Share location when meeting someone for coffee, lunch, or any other meeting location. Great while hiking to share your destination.
