This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Padloc on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Pretty basic, annoying placement of copied countdown panel on top of menu items at bottom of screen.

Padloc 3.0 is much better suited to the Android ecosystem than the previous 'Padlock' iterations, but that's the best I can say about this service. Why limit yourself to only 50 entries (free version) when other pass managers offer unlimited entries for free? My advice? Go with Bitwarden—free, open-source, and you can share passwords with one other Bitwarden user w/o having to upgrade to a premium subscription tier.

The minimal design and the Cross-Platform apps were the initial reason I've installed this one.. meanwhile the main reason became that I'm trusting the team and the developers behind it and seriously .. what else do you want from a Datasafe?

Very good software if you have less than 50 items for the free use. Can't find a way to edit email address if I was to change my email address?

Sophos Antivirus immediately declared this app to be "UNSAFE" as I tried to log-in for the first time. (This morning). (Nokia 5.1 with Android Pie).
