Uninstalled before getting all the way through set-up. Too many basic features are unavailable unless you upgrade to premium for $8. Can't add basic insurance info, or more than one emergency contact, etc. I consider those features to be *basic, necessary* items, not "premium extras." Can't very well evaluate an app to see if I think an upgrade is a good idea when most of the basic features are not available. On to check out the other I.C.E apps now.

Second install and purchase of upgrade. Upgrade is definitely worth the one time $8. Easy to install and use. Great customer service. Easy access for first responders and for info on those doctor appts. Access from lock screen without giving access to the rest of the cell. Highly recommended. Not compatible with Samsung A7 tablet. Sad!

Too many ads. Premium too expensive. Edit: I paid for it anyway. App is better without ads but could use a few more features. 6/22: Edited to say that the icon no longer shows on the lock screen and no one can get the info unless the phone is unlocked and they see the app icon. I paid for this so first responders could access my information. Now they can't and I am stuck with it. 2/23: Switched phones. All info gone, got basic app although I paid for it. Help!

I downloaded the premium app a week ago and really liked the look and functionality. Unfortunately, I was unable to to transfer my medical information from the competitor's app I had been using for years. I emailed Techxonia Inc. and explained the issue. They immediately jumped on the problem and, shortly thereafter, the issue was resolved. Recently Techxonia has added two additional categories to this app. One category for Emergency Phone Numbers and another category to list Surgeries. Very nice.

Overall, great app and very intuitive. I am having a hard time adding info to the lock screen. I have a Samsung Note 20 Ultra. Also, it would be nice to be able to add pictures of my insurance cards. Thank you for this great app. Update: I figured it out. Once I upgraded, it took about 30 min for the settings to adjust and allow me to set it up on the lock screen. I changed my review to 5 💫 I've been a registered nurse for a long time and this is one of the best ICE apps I've ever seen.

the free version is too limited and the full version is expensive. most sections can't be completed in the free version and you can't even hide the empty sections from the lockscreen. so in an emergency someone would have to click through all the empty areas... this is a very nice app if you want to pay $8 for the full version....... edit: removed a star because their response is a joke. this app is basically a trial version unless you pay.

About this app

ICE - In Case of Emergency - Medical Contact Card is a very useful app and can even prove to be a lifesaver in an emergency situation. Using this app, you can store emergency contacts and other essential information which can help save your life if you were to be in an unfortunate accident.

Using ICE- In Case of Emergency - Medical Contact card, you can create your medical contact card directly on your phone which will be available on the screen without the need to unlock the phone. With the personal details that will be available on the emergency contacts card including medical conditions, blood group, emergency contact number, etc, you will be able to receive the assistance that you may need in an emergency situation. Besides this basic information, you also have the option to add additional information such as allergies, medicine, and disease.

With ICE App, the first time responders will easily have access to all the information they will need to provide you with medical emergency help and also to call your loved ones. The app also includes a ‘secret’ section which will be encrypted with a passcode so that only a loved one who has the passcode may have access to the information inside it. The screen will display a message directing the responders to contact the person with the passcode. Other details like your vaccine history, physician contact and insurance may also be stored in the app and may come in handy when receiving medical emergency help.

How will responders access the information?
The responders will be redirected to the emergency medical ID or information stored in the app when they tap the notification bar on the lock screen of your phone.

How to show Notification/Floating icon over locked screen?
Under More tab, you will see Notification / Lock Screen feature and clicking on that you can enable or disable the each feature from lock screen. You must provide some permission to allow this. Notification is by default.

How can the premium version be unlocked?
Go to the ‘More’ tab on ICE Emergency app and tap ‘upgrade to premium’. You will just need to pay USD $8 to receive access to unlimited features on the ICE - In Case of Emergency.

What does the premium version offer?
Among the unlimited features that you have access to with the premium version of ICE Emergency app, here are the most notable ones:
● You can store a 30-second voice recording which will appear on the profile page. This feature will be an additional asset if you were in need of medical emergency help.
● By clicking on the ‘App lock’ option, you can enable or disable the app lock. This will restrict the user from editing the information unless he or she has the pin or provides fingerprint verification.
● You can also back up the medical contact card from the ICE Emergency app into your computer or on Google drive. The information may also be restored onto the Medical ID ICE App from these locations.

Accessibility Service
One of the primary features of the app is the ability to view and access your medical information from your lock screen, which is facilitated via an accessibility service that you can activate. The accessibility service adds a widget to your lock screen after it's turned on.
