Just tested it with Trainingpeaks and my Kickr Core. It is great for the price. I used this to control the trainer and my Garmin FR935 to record, but the data was identical from both. There is not a lot of information on how to make this work. So, here's a brief tutorial. Create and edit your profile. Download your workout from Trainingpeaks in the .erg format. I used my computer and put it on Google Drive. Then, on my phone, I uploaded the custom workout by navigating to my Google Drive.

Great alternative to all the subscription-based fancy online VR mega-applications. I use this for training with my wahoo during the summer while Zwift is paused. For straight up training it is all you need. (Add TV for entertainment if you must). Improvement suggestions: 1) The data-fields are a little small and on my phone not fully visible 2) The main part of the screen is focused on the chart, which I find not so useful. I'd rather see my current and average metrics bigger and analyze any charty-thingys after the ride. 3) Doing intervals without pre-defining them could be easier. The +/- buttons only do in-/decrements of 5W. That's a lot of button-presses between recovery and threshold wattage. Maybe have a +/-50W button? Or a button to switch between two settings (like TV remotes have this "PREV-Channel")

Will not work with a classic trainer that does not transmit? Will not allow me to manually configure the trainer type and will not identify my Garmin speed sensor. I like the interface and really wanted use this

It just works. I like it and paid for it. Some feedback (using Galaxy Note 8): 1. On landscape view, the metrics on the top are cropped, so could not see the numbers properly. 2. Font for the numbers could be a little bigger. 3. Be nice to have some sound to alert for an upcoming interval.

Really good app. You can import your workouts from Training Peaks. It just works. On the downside, minor - it did stuck couple times when WhatsApp notifications poped up but you can put you phone into flight mode. Solved:)

Great App. I paid for the pro. Cheaper than the alternatives. I've been using this for a few weeks now as an alternative to Trainerroad. As stated, it works only with Ant+, but that's exactly what I was searching for. I prefer it over Bluetooth. In no time I created my own workouts. There is plenty out there to copy. I'll be buying the extra workouts offered too. The only issue I had was no option to reduce the FTP for the workout, during a workout, only the segment or lap.

About this app

ICW aims to be the most reliable, efficient and easy to use indoor cycling workouts app.

ICW lets you design your workouts using a powerful and intuitive editor. It then connects to an ANT+ FE-C trainer and automatically adjusts the resistance level according to the planned workout. Power, cadence, speed and heart rate data are collected as you ride and displayed on a comprehensive interface. Once the ride is complete, training data can be analyzed inside the app, uploaded to Strava or TrainingPeaks, or exported as FIT files.

Key features:
• Powerful workout editor: mix interval types in a single workout at will (grade, power, %FTP), pinch to zoom in/out, move intervals using drag&drop, easy interval copy, etc.
• Comprehensive user interface, with extended ride control.
• No internet connection needed. Workouts, activities and private profile data are saved locally and not shared with anyone, unless you decide to do so (Strava, FIT file export).
• Works on both phones and tablets (a large screen is recommended as ICW will be able to display more data).
• Support for multiple user/bike/trainer profiles
• Free ride mode
• Works with ANT+ FE-C enabled trainers and heart rate monitors.
• Lean, efficient and smooth app in a small APK

Indoor Cycling Workout is a free app, without ad. Achieve even more with the Pro version:
• Access to Professional workouts designed by Martin Burrows, British Cycling level 3 and Training Peaks Level 2 Certified Coach. Full workout descriptions here: http://icw.pierrox.net/wordpress/icw-pro-workout-descriptions/
• No workout duration limit, ride as long as you can (45min max in the free version)
• Unlimited number of workout plans for an increased flexibility (5 max in the free version)

Training Plans are also available separately to provide structure and order to your workouts and help you to achieve your goals. Many more varied and tailored workouts are included with the training plans to ensure progression and guarantee you become an efficient, stronger, more powerful rider.

If you like this app, please consider switching to the Pro version and support the development of ICW!

Please note: in order to benefit from this app, you need an ANT+ enabled Android phone or tablet, as well as an ANT+ FE-C compatible trainer (not bluetooth).
This includes most Tacx smart trainers, Bkool Pro and similar. Other ANT+ FE-C trainers should work as well. In case of issue, please report it by e-mail so that it can be fixed.
ANT+ on Android is built into most Samsung and Sony devices. For devices without integrated ANT+, the feature can be added with an USB dongle and an OTG cable (ICW has been tested with Garmin and Suunto USB sticks).
Warning: some trainers can operate in either ANT+ or Bluetooth mode, please make sure that ANT+ is selected, Bluetooth will not work. Cadence sensors and heart rate monitors need to be ANT+ too.

In case of issue, question or feature suggestion, no hesitation, send me an e-mail to pierrox@pierrox.net. Thanks, and now go for a ride and get stronger!
