Great for tracking sleep time. It would be nice if it allowed you to save incomplete sleep tracking diary entries so that you could track naps and time in bed when they're happening rather than doing it all when you wake up and could have forgotten that info. Please add this ability. Someone commented on the app being unable to calculate accurate sleep times, that has not been my experience with it. It just does not include naps in calculations bc it's to regulate nighttime sleeping.

Helpful for monitoring sleep habits. Lots of helpful tips too to improve your sleep in general. None of the reminder options the app offers work on my phone. I'm not getting any notifications even though I have the notifications setting turned on. I'm able to email myself a weekly report which I can then share with my therapist so that's cool.

App cannot do basic calculations to figure out time asleep and efficiency. It either accepts my numbers and does the math and thus graphs incorrectly or if I try to force it to be more accurate it says my sleep is a negative number. Shame because I really liked the graphs, all the relaxation programs, and the easy to complete sleep diaries.

This is not so much of a review, as a request for help... I have this app installed on my phone and have been using it for a couple of years now. My doctor would like to see the full results for the past few years of using this to try and determine some things; but on the phone I can only pull up the past 2 weeks or so. How, online, can I gain the full record for medical purposes, please? Hopefully you have my e-mail from my installation, and/or my cell phone - with which I can receive text message as well, if that is easier for you.

Given the Department of Veterans Affairs is a Government Agency applicable to public domain laws, I find it disappointing that the VA chose to develop this software as a closed source platform rather than an open source model. Open source provides additional security protections and would further increase the amount of people who would be interested in and possibly able to use this application. While I understand that some content may be copywritten, there are still means to implement OS models.

Nice as a basic sleep tracker that requires manual input of times. It has served me well for half a year, but since the latest update, the reminders stopped working altogether, and I forget to enter my times about half the time. Even before, however, it kept changing the time of the reminders - if I set it to remind me at 7:30, I'd expect to be reminded at 7:30, not 8:53. I really hope this gets resolved soon.

About this app

CBT-i Coach is for people who are engaged in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia with a health provider, or who have experienced symptoms of insomnia and would like to improve their sleep habits. The app will guide you through the process of learning about sleep, developing positive sleep routines, and improving your sleep environment. It provides a structured program that teaches strategies proven to improve sleep and help alleviate symptoms of insomnia.

CBT-i Coach is intended to augment face-to-face care with a healthcare professional. It can be used on its own, but it is not intended to replace therapy for those who need it.

CBT-i Coach is based on the therapy manual, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia in Veterans, by Rachel Manber, Ph.D., Leah Friedman, Ph.D., Colleen Carney, Ph.D., Jack Edinger, Ph.D., Dana Epstein, Ph.D., Patricia Haynes, Ph.D., Wilfred Pigeon, Ph.D. and Allison Siebern, Ph.D. CBT-i has been shown to be efficacious for insomnia for both Veterans and civilians.
