This works very well. You click the on button to activate, within less than a second, you can take the temp. Once temp displays, assign it to a user (1 of 8, swipe up/down right of temp for names & click button), which syncs to user in app. You can see the temp on the thermo display immediately and color coded. It works like any thermometer. The sync to the app can be a bit tricky. You may need to use Bluetooth. I find that works best. I've not seen it loose any data in daily use.

Health Mate already exists, this should be baked into it. App also uses a built-in web browser to download online content, this is stupid and a waste of bandwidth. Content should be included with app download. Apps lacks dark mode; Literally how can you not even provided the same basic features found in the health mate app, is the lead dev an idiot? Device works fine, app doesn't give a notification it received it though, unlike health mate which dings when it received a weight or activity.

Absolutely insane you can't use the thermometer without the app. And when app tells you that it seems like there's connectivity issue (there isn't) so doesn't work, all you're left with is a dead, useless piece of plastic due to the design decision to make it useless without the app. 100% makes me less likely to buy other Withings products. The very very very least a thermometer should do is let you pick it up and take a temperature. You have failed this most basic requirement.

I haven been trying to get the app to work for the last four days. I keep getting the same error message. "Oops there is a connectivity issue. Please try again later." What exactly did I buy this for, if it won't work. This will be returned.

Im not happy sharing such an amount of info to make thermo work. As others have said its ridiculous that device cant work without installing the app and adding to much personal info. I will probably return this. Invasion if privacy and almost criminal to sell without these restrictions being clearly labeled on package or in producct info.

It's absurd that this app exists and the thermo device can't be used with the same app as all the other withings products. It's even more absurd that it can't be used without granting permission to location services.
