I have been using this app for several years, but lately have been having trouble with it. A couple of months ago, I began having trouble with the devices (HRM, speed, cadence) remaining paired between uses... I needed to re-pair the devices every time I use trainer road. Now, trainer road cannot find any of the devices. I have rebooted the phone several times and it is in scanning mode for Bluetooth devices. All three of the devices have been paired many times, and their batteries are fine.

I love trainerroad, but honestly, what in the WORLD is wrong with this app? Most "buttons" have to be pressed repeatedly, and either work with a long delay or you have to force close the app. Also, the app is horrifically slow. I feel like I spend as much watching the loading circle as I do using the app. This won't make me stop using the service, I just wish the app wasn't totally frustrating to try to use.

I use Trainer Road for both my outdoor and indoor rides. The AI adaptation always provide a great training workout for my level of fitness, adapting them up when I get stronger, and adapting them down if I have slacked on the bike and skipped a bunch of workouts. I have been using it for at least 4 years, and I only see improvements: on the app, the data, the workouts. Very much recommended.

Great training app, love the workouts and the progression levels make it easier to find the workout I need. But three stars because this has to be the SLOWEST app in my phone and it keeps getting worse with each update. I spend half my time in the app watching a spinning red wheel or tapping on something, wait... check... tap again... frustrating.

I'm really happy with using the app for structured indoor bike training, but having to constantly jump out to their (extremely slow) website for "ride analysis" and to view my swim/run workouts is incredibly frustrating. They recommend using a desktop computer/browser for "full functionality" - which i do - but honestly, the performance of their website is pretty awful too. Would love to see better app integration for all workout types (and major performance improvements to their website)

This is my go-to app for cycling fitness. If you want to see measurable improvements in your riding strength, cardiovascular ability and overall fitness, this is it. Riding instructions from coach Chad, and immense catalog of workouts keep it engaging over time, but really, it's seeing the results come to fruition when you get back outdoors that really makes it worth it. I've tried Zwift extensively, but decided to stick with Trainerroad. Bonus: of the app in minimal mode and watch their weekly YouTube podcast.

REQUIREMENTS
TrainerRoad for Android supports the most popular flagship Android devices
OS: Android 7 Nougat and higher
Connection: Bluetooth Smart, ANT+ and ANT+ FE-C

NOTES
TrainerRoad for Android supports Bluetooth Smart, ANT+ and ANT+ FEC. Some devices are ANT+ compatible on their own, but may require ANT plugins installed from the Google Play store before they’re ready to use. Other devices may require an ANT+ adapter. Fortunately, some of these devices work with existing ANT+ adapters from your computer and an additional USB-C or phone-specific USB adapter.

Given the various ways TrainerRoad for Android communicates via ANT+, some devices may have stronger signals than others. If you’re having difficulty using a native ANT+ device, you may need an adapter to train normally.
