Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing SoberSense - Mobile Applicatio on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

About this app

Upon registration, users receive their SoberSense credentials (login and password) to sign in to the alcohol monitoring mobile application

/!\ You need the breathalyzer Bluetooth device that we provide upon registration to use this application /!\

You can find the following instructions in the How To tab within the mobile application:

Find the SOBERSENSE application and open it 
☐   As a registered user, If you have been accidentally logged out or have downloaded SOBERSENSE to another phone:
The username and password will not have any spaces. They will also be all lowercase
Username: firstnamelastname
Password: sober
Once you have been logged in, your scheduled testing sessions will appear on the screen
☐   You may now select your test session, specified date and time.
☐   After it has connected, be sure to click on TAKE TEST on the top right of the screen
☐   At this point, if your Breathalyzer does not have two lights on the top, close the application completely, reopen SOBERSENSE, and retry the same session. Bluetooth technology works best at a controlled pace. TAKE YOUR TIME AND LET EVERY PAGE LOAD BEFORE PROCEEDING
The application has now recognized the device’s Bluetooth and will let you proceed with the test
☐    PREPARING DEVICE- Check for two lights at the top of Breathalyzer
BREATHE DEEP- Prepare for breath specimen
BLOW NOW- Exhale until you feel a click go off inside of the device
☐   Once you have finished, it will now analyze the breath for a few moments.
Click on SUBMIT RESULT to send in your data
☐   RESULT SUBMITTED SUCCESSFULLY (session will disappear from application when submitted)
