The app is buggy and there is no refresh if the scale and phone are taking a while. It frustrates me when I spend 10 mins trying to get everything to sync then I just mark it as a vacation day so I don't loose my streak. The annual membership is kinda expensive for such a buggy app.

10/31/20:. Downgrade stars again as the longer we use it the more unreliable it becomes. Both of us have to restart our phones every morning in order for the scale and the app to communicate. 1/3/20: downgrading stars. This is the second time I have had to uninstall/reinstall app because it quite syncing other apps. Very frustration. When it works, it is great. Minimal help from customer support.

I have used my Shapa scale and app daily since September 2018. The Shapa concept is great with seeing a color representation of weight and the "missions" for meeting weight goals. I want to rate this scale high but I just cannot. The app (android) must be manually closed after every use or it will not start the following day. However, the worst part is that I have to remove a battery from the scale to get it to wake up before stepping on it. Worse yet is poor Customer Support. Update- Shapa replaced my first scale and it works much better than my original. I am back to weighing daily with working hardware! Thank you!!

I have used Shapa for about 4 months now. The app does what it says, but it's not practical in practice, so I connected it with Google Fit to get the actual numbers and historical graph. It only takes averages of the last few weigh ins, so if you skipped weighing in, you get an outdated color. Also, if you go up in weight and then stabilize, you go back to green, even though you're heavier than your last green. Without another app, there's no way to know. It's fine, but not worth $10/mo.

Cancelled my subscription after the initial six months because this scale seems inaccurate. I'd weigh myself daily using Shapa & my regular scale & noticed discrepancies. It's not worth paying $10/mo. There is also a claim that if you cancel your subscription, you can still use the scale & see the weight number instead of a colour. This is incorrect. I just tried weighing in & no numbers were shown, only a link to resubscribe. I hope the scale can be recycled.

Won't stop weigh in mode. When I close the app and open it again it just shows the Shapa image, no function to click on. I have to keep force stopping it because it stays running in the background. At this point the scale and app are a waste to me. It's frustrating that I spent so much money on something that won't work well for me. Back to my $40 numbered scale :(
