Got a brand new prescription and wanted to test this to see if this could read the glasses. Shere off by 10 to 20%, cyl off by 30%, axis off by 5-77%, and pd was off by 6%. Nice idea but I would not trust this match your current prescription. Best to get the info from where you got your prescription.

I just had new distances glasses done by the optometrist, so I had a fresh script and fresh new eye glasses. I then went to glassesusa to replace prescription sunglasses. Out of curiosity, I tried their eye-scanning app. Wow! It was a perfect match for the right lense and almost exact for the left lense. For the left, my script says -1.50 by -1.25 by 075. The app had 077 instead of 075. Darn close! Perhaps my lense was not manufactured perfectly?

Great concept but trying to hold the phone in one hand while holding your glasses up to the computer screen in the other hand while trying to keep the circles on the computer screen showing through the lenses of your glasses through your phone, then trying to tilt the glasses to and fro while trying to hold everything steady while your phone scans them is a bit much! Over 20 attempts....

Works as intended. I'd give it 5 stars, but they eventually start spamming your phone with notifications that are just unwanted ads.

Overall it was a easy process once you have a steady arm. Seems to be as accurate as I remember what my prescription is, I think. However I did have to use a different browser in order to sync my phone with the computer.

Results won't display in the app. Took many attempts to acquire a measurement, then demanded that I log into store website to see the results. Overall seems more like a marketing gimmick than a useful tool. Uninstalled.
