I loved this app, have had it for about a years and all of a sudden it refuses to open. Uninstalled and reinstalled and not opening

The app keeps crashing as soon as I connect to my fitness band, which is the Denver BFH-13. I've tried clearing cache, restarting the phone and reinstalling the app but nothing solves it.
