I mistakenly bought premium thinking I could use a ble heart monitor. But no. The animations for the breathing are very poor too. The flow is jerky and not flowing. What a shame

The free app is great. The 2 stars are for the heart monitor. It is very inaccurate, showing heartbeat rates varying by up to 40 beats in a single three minute session. It is sometimes able to get my true heartbeat (as I calculate it myself while the app is running) but only for 10-20 seconds at a time. I am not moving my finger or anything. I obviously regret buying the upgrade. Otherwise, the app does what it says and has a nice layout, sound, and vibration.

Good so far, although I c an't work out if the payment to unlock the advanced features are reoccurring or one off, so haven't risked it so far!

I just purchased the heart rate monitor and although I've read through the tutorial and the reviews and I'm doing as I'm supposed to...covering the camera and the flash...the heart doesn't even appear on my screen. Not sure why?

I recommend it to everyone. This is one of the best cardiac coherence app available. The expert mode is really a plus. It helps you control your exercise any way you want. Good work!

About this app

What is this app for?

This application helps you lower your stress level by controlling your respiration by, at first, making it more regular, then, by reducing the number of breathing per minutes.

Just breathe in when the water drop is going up and breathe out when it goes down. A vibration allows you to follow the pace with your eyes shut.

A menu allows you to specify the duration of the exercise and the number of breathing per minute.

Determining your current breathing rate

You can determine your current breathing rate by moving the water drop up and down. The chronometer will start, and the number of cycles will increase each time you bring the water drop up and down.

The application can be run in the background. Simply start the exercise and press the home button and the vibration or the sound indicator will guide you.

A music selection is available to help you relax.

Optional features:

The expert mode allows you to specify the exact breath-in, breathe-out time and adds a holding time.

A notification can be programmed to remind you that it is time to exercise.

No ads, no annoyances!

Note: Some users have reported issues with the animation. Make sure that your device is not in power saving mode or doen't have the parameter "animator duration scale" is set to 1 in the developer options menu. This behavior is linked to some changes made in Android Lollipop (Android 5.0 and +).

What is cardiac coherence?

Following medical research neurocardiology, cardiac coherence is the name that was given to a reflex phenomenon discovered by U.S. researchers more than fifteen years ago.

It has been proven that Heart and Brain beat in unison: If our mind and emotions affect the heart rate, heart rate also has an influence on our brain.

By controlling you heart rate, you can also control your emotions, limiting your overall stress condition.

The easiest way to control your heart beat is by controlling your respiration. A slower, controlled respiration directly reduces and control the heart beat.
