Using BlueStacks

About this app

The Clan Race app lets groups/clans of people take part in a customizable race to solve puzzles, find hidden locations, as well as build their physical stamina. A clan can comprise of (i) a Runner team (an individual or a team) that does the actual puzzle-solving and location-finding on the ground, and (ii) supporters, who are clan members that provide support and help online.

In addition to having fun in solving puzzles and overcoming challenges, each runner will see how far he/she/they have covered during a race, and use it as part of a fitness program.

The online supporters can see where their clan Runner members are, give them moral support through sending them emoticons, and assist them in finding a location by pooling their resources together.

The App can contain multiple races, each designed by a Race Admin to cover a particular geographical location.

Each race contains a number of stops, and an onscreen clue is given to the runners of a race to find each stop. In addition, some stops can have additional challenges set by the Race Admin.

A Race Admin can design a race by adding stops, setting the clues and choosing the challenge type for each stop.

GPS is a core technology used by this app, thus this app is subject to the limitations of the GPS, whether it be on the mobile device or the mapping system used. The app is suitable for outdoor use, as accuracy of a GPS in an indoor environment is very much compromised. It is also adversely affected by tall buildings surrounding the mobile device even in an outdoor location.
