Huge thanks for trying to bring back My Tracks. There's no good GPS tracking replacement that doesn't try to be a fitness tracker or a social platform. Good luck on fixing the sync. Another good option would be to use off line maps to save on battery life. Look forward to the updates. Good luck.

I am very appreciative for the availability of a replacement for Google's MyTracks app. However, the Sync and Export functions do not work. Without the ability to save the logged trip files to anything besides the app itself, this app is one phone crash away from losing all of my tracked data. I am using this app frequently with the trust and hope that the developer(s) will push an update fixing this bug. I will make my rating 5-star as soon as this is fixed.

Struggled to synchronize data to my google account. Is it just one way to save your activity, which is in your phone? I really love its other features.

This Tracks is looks very similar to the original Google myTracks app which was decapitated a long time ago. The UI is identical but with a lot of bugs and glitches. The map does show up and it does track. I am unable to recommend it because there is a problem with exporting/managing the track that is being saved. Also, the App lack GoogleSync which means that the track cannot be store online at all and it will be stuck for you to only view in the Application itself.

App doesn't work with Polar heart monitors like it should. This was a defect before and still isn't fixed. 505 error people mention seemed to be caused by original Tracks app installed.

About this app

** Please download Tracks Pro (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ljapps.android.trackspro) to enable Google Drive Sync feature. **

The Tracks app is based on My Tracks originally created by Google. My Tracks, downloaded more than 60M times, was deprecated in Jan. 2016. As a long term My Tracks’ user, I am disappointed to see it gone.
Tracks records your path, speed, distance, and elevation while you walk, run, bike, or do anything else outdoors. While recording, you can view your data live, annotate your path, and hear periodic voice announcements of your progress. With supported Ant and Polar heart rate monitor, you can also see your continuous heart rate.

Your Tracks data is stored on your phone. You control whether you want to share with others.
