The app could not detect the device so I installed it again. Now it wants me to type in the serial number which I dont have because I threw away the box. Is there any way I can figure out the serial number from the device itself? Should I open up the device? maybe its in there? I wish there are ways to find out the filter life without opening the application.

Took trial and error to get Bluetooth Paired first time; after entering Pairing Code and phone confirming bluetooth Connection, needed to power off my Atem Car Air Purifier once and turn it back on. This se m d to complete App to Atem pairing process. Instructions could have been better. But now Bluetooth pairing is automatic when I get in my vehicle. I leave Atem Cat Purifier plugged in. It remembers last fan speed setting and starts up at same setting after I turn my car on.

When trying to connect to atem it just had a green spin of death that never sees the atem. I cannot get it to connect for too different devices now. They warrantied it out because the filter didn't last more than three weeks. Now I got a new one and it smells out of the box like paint. App pairing is impossible at this point. Update I am waiting for a refund since March 26th when you sent me an email saying you received my products. I have called 5 times and emailed 3 & no correspondence!

It seems Bluetooth requires permission for allowing contact sharing in order for smart on/off to work. Thanks to IQAir responding to my review I that the smart on/off did not work, I took another look at the apps configuration and firmware. Firmware&app were current, then I re-synced the Atem's Bluetooth, this time I allowed access to contacts and call history. Maybe more clarity is needed in the description to state this option is required for smart on/off to work.

Demands to know your GPS location to control the air purifier. NONSENSE! edit after response from IQair: You can choose not to require locatiin data. Android Developer website says: "If your app needs to pair the user's device with a nearby device over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, use the companion device manager, which doesn't require location permissions."

Even though my Android phone can see the bluetooth signal from the Atem, the app fails to pair. The older version of the app paired perfectly. Version 2.0.2 will not pair.
