Poor User Interface and very buggy app. It does not connect with device even after BT connected. Crashes in settings and does not serve any purpose besides as advertising platform for workout plans that can be found 100% free elsewhere... Lost money buying the unit that only works sometimes and needs constant calibrations, but a buggy and greedy app it's just not worth the hassle. Do not recommend either.

I just got my powerpod yesterday and downloaded the app. I have to say it's probably one of the most ugly apps I've probably seen, but, it gets the job done. I only used the free ride/profile setup on it. Once I got it calibrated it showed power produced and everything was fine and dandy. I do have to note that the profile setup screens are not intuitive at all. You really can't even tell from them if the powerpod is connected or not, or what the current settings/profile is.

You would think that since the modules are pay to play this company would enable ble on all capable ant+/ble models (to increase the potential user base). Instead they charge $50 ($25 on sale), so the they can charge you again to use the modules of this app....who is in charge of marketing? Cousin George? If BLE were activated you would provide unexpected value to your customers while really not giving anything up, and providing a potential for a constant revenue stream... and all you did you would have to do is activate the ble portion of the combined chip which the customer already paid for in the first place...just saying.
