I think this is great for monitoring my baby son's eczema. It would be great if it had an itchy scale, and even a food diary with it, but regardless, it's great and I will definitely be recommending it to people. It is very simple to use.

First kind of tool to help me keep track of every miserable day dealing with my Excema. It is a relief to see the tracking with line graph, it gives me the real chance to see what I have been going through each day. Its documented, its right there, and validates my need for help. I love and appreciate this app, thank you.

It's great for photos, but I wrote a nice note on several days and then when I close it, it turns into a long single line of text that you can't move. So you only see the first 7 of so words. Please fix.

About this app

iControl Eczema is a simple, patient-friendly tool to assess eczema severity on a daily basis.

Eczema, or atopic dermatitis, is a chronic skin condition whose severity can fluctuate. By using iControl Eczema, you and/or your child would be able to assess your eczema on a daily basis and take photos of the affected skin areas. Monitoring your eczema will enable you to know your disease better and manage it more effectively.

With iControl Eczema, you will be able to view your daily eczema scores on a graph. When necessary, you can email this to your doctor or show him the chart during your clinic visits. This will give him better insights into your condition.

You can also set reminders on iControl Eczema to remind you to apply your moisturiser. Various eczema guidelines suggest that moisturisers should be the first line and mainstay of eczema treatment. In particular, ceramide-dominant therapeutic moisturisers would be important in repairing the skin barrier.

iControl Eczema is based on the Patient Eczema Severity Time [PEST] score. For more information on the PEST score, please refer to Mason JM et al., BMC Dermatol 2013. iControl Eczema was co-developed by the School of Information Technology, Nanyang Polytechnic, KK Women's and Children's Hospital, and Hyphens Pharma.
