Originally connected to watch via Bluetooth, 2 days ago stopped connecting, have tried to reconnect, no success, have uninstalled the app and installed again, still not working.

Cannot connect to phone anymore. The phone can be paired via phone's bluetooth menu but cannot be connected via this app. All permissions provided and yet it says cannot connect.

Alright, it's true that this app has it's flaws, but it does what it's supposed to, you just need to be patient and willing to troubleshoot.

Can't update firmware, can't personalise dial from app.

Don't panic - the app works well. I saw the reviews and thought my Kogan Pulse+ was going to be a waste of $$ but I had literally zero issues. Make sure you select the right watch on the home screen, as some look similar. Turn on your phone's Bluetooth and you're good to go!
