The app serves as a decent backup if you forgot your Libre meter. It would also be OK if you needed alarms during the night. I have seen it read close to 20 points higher than the Libre meter. I have never seen it more than 10 less than it. It is slightly less accurate based on blood tests. I do not use insulin.

This app is great at reading blood sugars and is surprisingly accurate. However the app needs to stay open to trigger alarms and when I leave the app after about 5 minutes it closes, please fix this as this would make the app even better.

4 stars because I cannot see anyway of viewing more than a few hours of history. If this app is ment to replace the Abbott reader then it is important to be able to review a cumulative set of data form which to adjust insulin dosing. Sorry if I have overlooked this feature, but it is either missing or hard to find. otherwise a great app thanks

There is about a +50mg difference between the apps readings and my abbot freestyle.

Does not connect to my libre.

Very nice, and very user friendly interface! 👍 Would it be possible to also add a 'day' mode that's just for reading the latest glucose level? (Admin permissions could be optional in that case.) These 1-star reviews are very undeserved IMO 🙃

About this app

GlucoNightWatch is an application for Android mobile phones capable of reading NFC devices which can perform periodic readings automatically from the FreeStyle Libre glucose sensors, and generate alarms in situations configured by the user.

When the phone is placed permanently on the FreeStyle Libre sensor in the form of an armband or bracelet (see www.gluconightwatch.com for details about armbands or bracelets), it can generate different types of alarm, whether local, with calls on the phone itself, or remotely by sending SMS messages or calling a programmed telephone number.

In addition, local alarms can be configured for stand-alone users, who prefer to receive alarms personally and wake themselves up should the cases configured result.

The application can also be used as a reader, obtaining the information every time the phone is put close to it, without alarms being generated.

-- IMPORTANT IF USING ALARM MODE --

If you use the alarm function, please beware that the app then will need the Device Administrator permission. Once you turn off the alarms, the app will automatically reject the permission.
