About this app

!!!!!Important:!!!!!
This well-intended application functions as a support. All responsibilities goes to the end user.
Do not aim at a person with epilepsy or make prank calls.

ProjectJon, an application that helps your safety and brings you closer to the emergency services.

Three reasons to install ProtectJon on your Android device:

1) Recently there are burglaries in your village/town;
2) You like to go out in a risky neighbourhood;
3) You are less mobile and/or live alone and are in need to fast and easy call the emergency services (or an own number).

The above situations are unpleasant but need to be anticipated upon. With ProtectJon your security heightens and you will be able to contact an emergency number in a stressful situation by just a simple buttonpress.

How does ProtectJon functions:
There are two big buttons.
The blue buttons serves as your "defense". When pressed, your camera's backlight turns on and radiates fast pulses that startles the criminal. In the options you can set a corresponding pre-installed scaresound to frighten the hostile.
The pink button functions as a quick gateway to an emergency number. The standard emergency number is 112, but you can edit it in options.

Purpose of the app is to make sure that you can get to safety in an dangerous, life-threatening situation.
Almost all Android devices starting from 4.03 till 6.0 work with ProtectJon.
A screen size of 4.7 inch is required alongside a device with built-in flash (camera).

Note:
About options (the slim black button above the other two buttons).
On this moment you can choose to have sound with the "defense button" and alter the emergency number.
To edit the emergency number, click in options on the pink bar and change the numbers (use International numbers, like 0032/0031). To confirm your number, click on the blue button underneath the bar.
To mute or unmute sound you can click on the other blue button on the page (the sound icon will change depending on the state).

Note 2:
The default emergency number is 112 (European). Unedited you can press the big pink button and go to the call-screen. A second buttonpress is needed to actually start the call. This is a safety precaution. You can change this (on your own responsibility) by implementing your own emergency number (starting with an international prefix ex. 0032).
