Our Teaching Methods
If you are interested in private lessons, developing dance technique, or competitive dance, Fox Ballroom has established a clear and easy method to measure your development and level of dance. Our teaching methods and measures align with National Ballroom standards. We are proud of our ability to individually evaluate each student to determine their current level of dance, and our recognition events which celebrate an individual’s movement between levels of dance.
Private Lessons
Treat yourself to a one-on-one lesson with an instructor who will give you individual attention and adjust their teaching methods based on your specific needs. Instructors focus primarily on technique, styling, musicality, and repetition to help you meet your dance goals. Each student will have chart that is kept within the studio that will track your progress.
Group Classes
If you are interested in group lessons, Fox Ballroom has created a variety of exciting classes. Group classes are a great way to learn new dance steps in a social environment, and develop your leading and following habits as you dance with a variety of partners. We are one of the few dance studios in the area to offer group classes free to our students to supplement the private lessons. Century Dancesport also offers several classes that are family friendly – a great opportunity for families to discover dance together.
Practice Parties
Century Dancesport offers regular practice parties for students to practice in a social atmosphere what they have learned in their private lessons or group classes. In addition to the practice parties, we offer holiday parties and other special events that are the perfect opportunity to socialize with other students and guests.
