This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Rutronik SMART on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. App is good but it eats battery very quickly and uses 50% cpu every time. Please, fix this battery usage bug.

About this app

Rutronik SMART and Nordic Semiconductor presents an Internet-Of-Things example application. The 3-D stepcounter with wireless data transmission is using the new Bluetooth® Smart Technology. Your smartphone will be used as internet gateway. The stepcounter includes a basic membership on the fitmefit cloud portal. The stepcounter is based on a System-on-Chip from Nordic Semiconductor´s nRF51-family, as well as on movement sensors of ST Microelectronics.
