Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Elixir on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.

Extremely poor interface. Had to scroll through many years, a month at a time, to enter my birthday. Then, the app sent me to the web page, which I already had. Must have been written by a junior programmer. It seems unusable in its current state.

It would be great if the app description made it clear that only CERTAIN members can use it. Very disappointed that the service is not extended to PARTD members. Extremely disappointed that the rep suggested I use the website from my phone! I'm guessing they've never tried to use the website at all, which is definitely not designed for mobile use.

Cannot login. For people complaining about having to flip back each month to get to their birthday... Tap on the year first. There will be a list of years. Scroll to find your birth year and tap. Then scroll right or left to tap on the month and day.

Garbage app. To register, asking for birth date. Try to enter birth date, you have to tap and it would advance month at a time. My birth year is 1953. I have to tap 12x67 times to arrive at my birth date.

I've never been able to get logged in. Apparently you need to create a separate account to use the app. To enter your birth date you must scroll back month by month. I am 58 years old. That is nearly 700 months. Not worth my time.

The Elixir app is a free tool that helps Elixir members conveniently manage their prescription benefits using a secure connection through their mobile device.

Medicare Part D members: Please note, at this time the Elixir App does not currently support Part D plans. We are hard at work building this into the app. Check back soon for updates.

-Access to prescription claims information (mail and retail), including days until next refill
-Member profile, including cost information for prescriptions and the ability to identify cost savings opportunities based on member plan design and formulary
