This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Empiric on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. Love this app! The drug dosing calculators are really simple to use. The antibiotic guidelines are awesome. They take into account patient factors such as allergy and symptoms, and they are very clear. Highly recommend this app for CCDHB staff

Empiric is a locally developed app designed as an easy to use, decision support tool that can be used at the point of patient care. The features include antibiotic guidelines, surgical antibiotic prophylaxis guidelines, vancomycin and gentamicin calculators and additional drug information for renal and weight-based dosing.
