आज तब्बल ४०० वर्षांनी मराठ्यांमधे एकीची भावना जाग्रत होतो आहे. पण यासाठी एका मराठा भगिनीला आपला जीव गमवावा लागला. त्या बलिदानातून प्रज्वलित झालेली मराठा क्रांती मोर्चाची ज्योत ही आपले उद्दीष्ट्य साध्य होईपर्यंत सतत तेवत रहावी या मुख्य हेतूने मराठा कुटूंब ची स्थापना करण्यात आली.


मराठा कुटुंब ची कार्यपद्धती ही मुख्यत्वे पुढील बाबींशी निगडीत आहे.

मराठा समाज व्यापार/धंदाच्या बाबतीत प्रचंड मागासलेला आहे. मराठा समाजच्या विकासासाठी आपण एकमेकांना मदत करणे गरजेचे आहे. आपल्याला दैनंदिन जीवनात लागणारे साहित्य मराठ्यांच्याच दुकानातून विकत घेणे आवश्यक आहे.
