I really loved this app. It made me complete my workout goals everyweek, even on days I would usually skip. I would totally recommend it to anyone who just need that extra push (especially if you have goals but lazy on the side). I used my gym membership fairly well, than i ever did before finding out about this app. So, 5/5 for sure.

Great app, great idea! Sadly I don't think I'll be using it while the only option for deals is exercising but this can be of great use and life changing for most people! Please I'd really appreciate if you could add other deals like, running, diet, ect. Even ice bath! And maybe piano practice :) I love self discipline, this app is great for having someone make you do things until you are strong enough to make yourself do them. Also, I love the "Deal with the Devil" idea!

Fantastic app, really effective using negative reinforcement by putting money on the line to help you develop a habit! Also, the developers are very understanding of you've been ill or in my case had a bereavement, as well as if you did exercise but just forgot to take a picture- might be helpful if the app was able to be linked to Fitbit do a certain number of active minutes or calories burnt syncs up as a workout day completed. Nevertheless, definitely download the app!!

It was always too easy to just say, "Ah, I don't feel like it. I'll workout tomorrow." And, lo, tomorrow would never come. Since I started this app I've made my quota every week! And the check-ins are a nice touch. Highly recommend for the lazy, the procrastinators, and the forgetful!

This is a no brainer. My deal with the devil was the only reason I've been working out... for the first time in months! Turns out financial incentives are the strongest. Who knew? Looking forward to seeing more features in the app! Maybe geotracking to help me extend my running route?

Making a Deal with the Devil works! The app is simple to use and incredibly motivating. It got me off my cycle of binge exercising/lazy slob to someone who always makes it to the gym 3x per week no matter how stressful or busy my week is. I have made 4 deals so far (3 workouts/week for 4 weeks) and completed all of them successfully. With the app I’m basically guaranteeing that my future-self works out and I’m paying $0… best deal ever!

About this app

Deal with the Devil is a tough-love fitness app that helps you stick to your workout goals. When you enter into a “deal with the devil”, you put $20 on the line and agree to have your workouts verified. Over 95% of our users stick to their workout goals.

WHY IS DEAL WITH THE DEVIL DIFFERENT FROM OTHER FITNESS APPS?

Ever signed up for a gym membership and paid the monthly fees only to use it just a few times? Ever bought a set of workout DVDs only to abandon the program half-way through? Ever purchased workout equipment only to have it gather dust in that forgotten corner of your place? We know the feeling. And there’s a reason why it happens.

There is one key fact that sets you up for failure in each one of these situations – you’ve already paid the money before actually working out. Once the money is out of your pocket, your psychological attachment to that money is gone, and a big part of your motivation leaves with it.

Deal with the Devil flips that conventional logic on its head. You don’t pay anything when signing up or when making a deal. And you don’t pay anything over the course of your deal. The only time you pay is when and if you fail – and this is critical. This will mean that each and every time you are deciding whether to work out or watch Game of Thrones, the pain of losing your money will loom above you like an angry cloud. And you will get your butt into the gym. Not because you want to, but because you have to.

Deal with the Devil takes the decision-making out of your workout plan. And that’s really the hardest part of sticking to your goal – deciding to work out. And it’s funny, because you probably do much harder things all the time. Going to that job interview. Studying for that test. Preparing for that meeting. Why is that you can get the motivation to do things like that, but fumble when it comes to working out? It’s because in these three scenarios (the interview, the test, the meeting), you have no choice – you have to do them. And so you do. Deal with the Devil makes working out just as simple.

Take the decision-making out of working out. Make a deal with the devil today.
