About this app

Behavioral Medicine Weight Management (BMWM) provides one-on-one coaching, group support and meal replacements to help those struggling with obesity. Those fighting obesity all struggle to control, to limit, and to stop thinking about eating addicting foods. This unique addiction has occupied way too much of our lives, energy, mood, health, and identity. The combination of two very powerful forces, our own dysregulated body chemistry and an unrelenting juggernaut of “food/drug” dealers on and in between every corner, makes weight loss and sustaining overwhelming and truly diabolically difficult. It’s truly an “unfair fight.” We can’t undo the past, but we can and will create a new reality, learning and utilizing new skills that empowers all of us to regain control and give us a fighting chance.
Clearly there is no trick, medicine, and/or technique to “easily” win this battle, but nothing makes our team more excited than to share in your successes. BMWM offers ongoing one-on-one daily contact with our coaches to provide support, instruction, and techniques to stay on your meal plan during reducing and sustaining. A monthly group meeting run by founder Dr. Jeremy Clorfene, Clinical Psychologist, covering topics from emotional eating, addiction, holiday eating, and numerous motivational topics geared to educate and provide a culture of inclusion, positivity and support to help arm members in their journey.
BMWM uses New Direction protein, low carb meal replacements (shakes, puddings, bars, and soups) as the core tool to help members during weight loss and sustaining. Three meal replacements per day plus one meal containing protein and vegetables comprise daily intake, resulting in 1-3 pounds of weight loss per week. A minimum of two-month participation and one month of sustaining forms the basis of the program. Members pay a monthly fee allowing access to coaching, group support, and access to our products. Boxes of the meal replacements are purchased with seven servings per box (one packet is one meal). Members have three supplements per day and one meal is prepared by the member. During sustaining members have the option to have up to two replacement meals per day.
After years of “getting it wrong about fat,” the science is overwhelming that insulin increasing foods dominated by processed flour, processed corn, and refined sugar have flooded our culture, restaurants, fridges, snacks, and our MINDS. And it makes us obese and addicted. Simply put, our goal is to help members reduce their processed flour and sugar intake while adding whole healthy foods.
