About this app

After being diagnosed with pre-diabetes, I developed FoodSnap as an easy way to keep track of the food I eat and to monitor my blood sugar levels. I use the app every day and have found it helpful in identifying foods that spike my blood sugar levels (as well as those which have little effect on my blood sugar levels). I hope that this app will benefit other people too.

Keeping a food diary is a useful tool in controlling your blood sugar and weight. Food diaries can be tedious if you need to enter the details of each meal or snack, making it more unlikely that you will continue keeping a food diary. FoodSnap is a simple and easy to use app that allows you to snap a photo of the food you eat (you can still enter notes). You can record your blood sugar, HbA1c, ketone levels, weight and blood pressure. There is also a meal marker to visually show whether the readings are taken before or after food.
