Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Superious on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

Posterous is a free blogging and media sharing service with powerful networking features. Articles and media posted to Posterous will automatically be spread to your Facebook, Twitter, identi.ca, tumblr, picasa, youtube and many more accounts.

Superious is the mobile manager getting things done on your Posterous blogs. With Superious you can do everything easily on your Android device:

- View, delete and edit entries of your Posterous blog. You may even autpost them again to your community services again.
- View, delete and post comments to your blog.
- Read your subscriptions and comment there. Subscribe and unsubscribe.
- Notifies about changes on your Posterous, your bookmarks or your subscriptions.
- Alternative browser for post.ly links with bookmark and commenting option.
- Synchronize local bookmarks with delicious.
- While sending new posts: Control where to send media files on the fly ("Autopost").
- Deliver images, videos, audio files and text to Posterous.
- Media delivery using share functionality. Multiple selections are no problem.
- A lot less memory consuming compared to the official application and supporting A2SD.

- Posterous introduced an API call limit, making it impossible to fetch some stuff the way Superious was implemented (it was too fast). Superious is respecting this now.
- Shorter timeouts in order to make Superious detect a blocking API faster.
