Constantly loses connection to hrm when running in background. Polar bear with exact same settings on same phone don't do that. Also real time stamp ( in addition to time from.start of recording) would be good in charts/exports

Simple HRV Logging app. Works well with my Garmin HRM-PRO chest strap. The Alpha 1 measurement has helped me understand my aerobic threshold. It would get five stars if I could see my Alpha 1 value on my Garmin watch via an IQ App.. next step perhaps?

Very simple app, but what it does is incredible. Really amazing to show what "easy" actually is.

Absolutely amazing! To be able to find my LT1 or AeT without any painful lactate measurements?! Marco, as always, you've knocked it out of the park!! Thanks you

Having issues with Alpha 1, set to workout, 2.mim window. Only get 4 or 5 samples on a 40-60 minute test. Everything else seems ok.

Beside the extremely basic and cryptic interface I was expecting the app to tell me what is the exact HR value for my aerobic threshold, it seems like it does not or I cannot figure out how to. It just tells you the DFA Alpha 1 number among other obscure values. Would one need to wear two straps (most BT straps only allow one connection) and figure out at what HR value corresponds DFA alpha of 0.75? I will update my rating if I can figure out more or the app gets updated with some sort of help or manual. Yes I've seen the FAQ but it does not answer this question ------------------------------------------------------------------Update after developer feedback: I will reach out to the email provided but why do I need to go the extra mile for a basic functionality that is touted as one of the main features? Quote from app description: 'aerobic threshold estimation in real-time'

About this app

Heart Rate Variability Logger lets you record, plot and export time, frequency and non-linear HRV Features (includes experience sampling, RR-interval correction, DFA alpha 1 for training intensity analysis with respect to the aerobic threshold (0.75) in real-time, comparison between recordings, activity monitoring & step counting, location tracking).

Heart Rate Variability Logger requires a Bluetooth Low Energy (also called Bluetooth Smart or BLE or 4.0) heart rate sensor (we recommend Polar H7 or H10)

Main features:
- Extracts, plots, stores and exports heart rate, rr-intervals, time and frequency domain heart rate variability features (AVNN, SDNN, rMSSD, pNN50, LF, HF, LF/HF, alpha 1 from DFA)
- Configurable time window for features computation (choose between 30 seconds, 1, 2 or 5 minutes)
- RR-intervals correction can be enabled to prevent ectopic beats or artifacts from affecting HRV features
- Filters data based on the selected threshold
- Data export using email or Dropbox
