About this app

E-brace:
We've developed an E-brace (Electronic bracelet) which contains the contact details, which are usually found on a business card, of the person who wears this bracelet.
The E-brace is equipped with hardware which detects motion; like when a person shakes someones hand.

When the E-brace detects the handshake-motion the E-brace sends out the data (the contact details of the two persons) through a Bluetooth connection to each others app. The app receives and saves this information. So at the end of the day you'll have a nice overview of all persons you've shaked hands with, of course only of the persons who are wearing the E-brace and are using the app.

This E-brace uses the Bluetooth-Low-Energy-Profile. Which results in a low battery use.

Tech Event:
The app and E-brace will be tested, as a pilot, during a Tech Event which is held from June 2nd until June 4th 2015 in Utrecht, The Netherlands (see EAbeurs.nl). The visitors of the event had the opportunity to reserve an E-brace (1800 braces are available). When they collect their brace they can download the app and start testing this system during the days of the event.
