About this app

Dry Swan Bladder Trainer App explains in detail how to perform the Dry Swan Exercise which can be performed at any time but is best used initially at the first sign of your brain signalling your bladder to empty, when the urge is building.

This exercise can be used to stop the urge to empty your bladder, which often is only half full or less. Over time, you can extend the duration between bathroom visits to strengthen your bladder.

Dry Swan exercise, with practise, can enable you to once again sneeze, cough and exert yourself without leakage - eg exercise at the gym or lifting children or shopping bags out of your car.

Dry Swan Exercise works through a distraction technique - when your bladder sends a signal to your brain to empty, it can often be prematurely voiding. Over time this process of repeatedly emptying your half full bladder can result in bladder muscle weakness and a lowering of your bladder capacity.

There are several areas that may be causing your oops moments.

Firstly, your bladder muscle may be weak, eg from child birth when your bladder capacity reduces or straining while lifting heavy objects, or experiencing a long coughing illness. Any act that places a strain on your pelvic floor and bladder.

Secondly, your pelvic floor may also be experiencing weakness through a variety of causes - aging being one of them.

Thirdly your bladder muscle maybe prematurely sending signals to the brain to empty when your bladder is nowhere near full.

This is what causes problems as your brain receives the signal, processes the information and sends a returning signal back to your bladder telling it to empty. This can happen very quickly and you find yourself experiencing that dreaded 'oops' moment.

Dry Swan Bladder Trainer explains the process to achieving better bladder control, with illustrations and video to show the exercise.

The level of improvement of your bladder control will depend on your level of commitment to exercise and also investigating your own health requirements regarding diet and lifestyle choices.
