About this app

The beyoung app is designed to make healthy eating and exercise a part of your daily life and will help you to become accustomed to avoid unhealthy choices.

The app aims to improve:
1. Healthy eating.
2. Exercise.
3. Vagal stimulation.
4. Sleep monitoring.

Green Foods are foods we encourage. They are healthy foods and beneficial to your health. Some green foods should be eaten daily, while some only on a weekly basis. As you eat a green food, mark them off, and you can see what you still have to eat for that day. Every item eaten will gain you 100 points. Daily reminders can be set you make sure you are having your green foods!

Yellow Foods can be referred to as ‘neutral foods’, which are foods that are not necessarily classified as healthy, but on the other hand cannot be categorised as an unhealthy food. Yellow Foods may be eaten in moderation, ideally eaten as a supplement to Green Foods.

Red Foods are foods that you must avoid. Red Foods are unhealthy food, not beneficial to your body, and only have negative effects. As you eat a Red Food, you must enter it in the app, and you will lose 100 points.",

Exercise is a crucial element for maintaining one’s health, and the beyoung app allows you to design your own tailor-made exercise program, which you must keep to. You can set up aerobic exercises, along with strength exercises, and you choose how many times a week you will be working out. As the week goes on you will check off each time you do a work out. Those with a Fitbit can set up daily steps and floor goals. Points are gained for each exercise session you do, and a relative score will be achieved at the end of the week according to how many of your exercises you actually did.

Sleep plays an important role in your physical health. The beyoung app includes a sleep monitor. Just put in the time you went to sleep and woke up, and we will calculate how many hours of sleep you had in the night. Aim for 7 hours, for that is the ideal for your health.

We truly believe that the continual use of the beyoung app will improve your daily well-being and health. Therefore, to encourage use of the app, every time you enter the app you will gain 100 points. Up to 300 points can be gained each day. It’s worth it!

You can monitor your history, to see how you are progressing with time, regarding eating Green Foods, and your exercise schedule.

But the most important indicator is the Overall Points, which is a global score you achieve at the end of the week. This takes into account points you have gained from eating Green Foods, points lost from eating Red Foods, and your success in keeping up to your exercise goals. The app usage is also taken into consideration. This is scored in a percentage, so let’s aim for 100%. Good luck!
