Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Pedalmote on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

About this app

Pedalmote is a controller for the app Bikeable. Pedalmote should be installed onto the device that will be attached to your thigh.

How to attach your mobile phone to your thighs?

Depending on your thigh circumference you can use a mobile armband with a long strap, or use a mobile armband that support strap extenders, or you can build your own mobile thighband using a thigh brace, two socks and a Velcro strap. This design support pedaling speeds up to 140 RPM.

If you require a Velcro strap, you can simply buy a Google cardboard headstrap. (42cm.) for around $2USD. Please note your device needs to be properly secured down or it may result in erratic pedaling speeds. A loose device may fall off during exercise and become damaged.

We recommended a dual core phone for Pedalmote.
