This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Samten: Meditation & Sleep on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

I've dipped in and out of mindfulness apps in the past but have found this was one I kept coming back to. Gelong guides some of the sessions himself and introduces other sections which gives the whole program a sense of unity and structure - you're building towards a practice which I didn't get elsewhere. The subscription process had hiccups but was eventually sorted for me. Recommended if you find other apps lacking direction or grounded in an actual philosophy (not that this is religious)

Unfortunately the app hasn't been updated for over a year. Most of the reviews since then highlight glitches which are unresolved. My issue was my subscription didn't work and the app takes a month's payment with no refund. Happy to pay a month for the 7 days 'free' content but disappointed not to be able to benefit further. Customer support were prompt and polite but couldn't resolve the issue. I'd be wary of doing the more expensive subscriptions, based on my experience.

Really enjoyed working through the many guided meditations in this app, and I continue to use it daily. The teacher is Gelong Thubten, who apart from bringing tremendous credibility, has a wonderfully calm voice. What is striking about this app is the breadth and depth of content. Having done an introductory mindfulness course before, this app allowed me to dive in a little deeper.

The app is really well thought however on Samsung 8+ the videos, instructions turn off when the energy saver kicks in leaving you without instructions. so basically each time you have to turn on the app again making the experience more on how the phone works rather than how meditation works. it's really unfortunate

Unusable without setting the phone to keep the screen on all the time. The moment the screen goes dark, the meditation stops. I won't change the settings because I'd rather conserve battery. There are other meditation apps out there.
