Allows building a very detailed alergen lists! However these flags need to be shown in the scan results like nut and dairy icons are. Currently items are only flagged on individual ingredient pages which quickly becomes a chore when checking 20+ ingredients on dozens of items.

it only detects 3 allergens... none of which I'm allergic to. might be useful if you could flag specific ingredients as a personal allergy...also it doesn't always show all of the ingredients; just one or two. I appreciate that it explains chemicals and additives and links to the wiki page but I wish the description included why it is added to food without having to leave the app. eg: anti-caking agent, used to preserve color, etc...

So far it seems to work well, but it should highlight nuts (note it highlights some nuts like pecans but not a peanut) and dairy like it does gluten, will update review after more extensive testing

Doesn't recognize anybar codes. Also ada are intrusive. I opened app and had 3 ads pop up before I could do anything. Not little ads but fullscreen ads that make noise.

I like that Foodi has no interstitial ads unlike other ingredient scanners. Moreover, I find the text ingredient scanning feature extremely usefull for less common products not recognized by the barcode scanner. Besides highlighting common allergens, I like how Foodi let's me create personalized allergen groups and flag specific ingredients as my personal allergies. Overall, I am enjoying the experience of using this app!
