About this app

Use this app to practice a 4-7-8 breathing technique popularized by Dr. Andrew Weil! This app features step-by-step instructions that guide you through the process of 4-7-8 breathing while you are practicing, as well as daily reminders, that can be turned off. In addition, the app lets you know when you have completed four breathing cycles, which is the recommended number of cycles per session.

This app was created by university researchers to help users practice the 4-7-8 breathing technique and collect data for research that examines the association between breathing exercise and stress levels. For research purposes, names, time of use, number of breathing cycles, and the stress levels before and after the breathing exercise are collected. We collect no other personal information except for name. Please read the privacy policy for more information.
