About this app

Awaken provides a risk-based approach to managing workplace fatigue. It measures work hours, sleep and wake behaviours, self-reported symptoms and reaction time performance to predict the likely level of risk. Work hours are recorded with a simple button press to log on and off of work. Sleep is recorded by, and synced with a Fitbit, or recorded manually with a simple button press.

Users are alerted on their smart phone when they enter moderate or high risk fatigue zones. Supervisors can choose to be alerted when team members enter moderate or high risk fatigue zones. This approach helps individuals and leaders to apply company-defined fatigue-risk management strategies.

Awaken interfaces with a company web portal for managing fatigue in teams.

Based on the Fatigue Risk Management science outlined in Dawson and McCulloch’s Sleep Medicine Reviews (2005) paper, Awaken provides a scientific, auditable and legally defensible approach for managing fatigue in high risk industries.
