About this app

The most advanced part of the brain is the “human brain”, which consists of the outer layer, surrounding the “monkey brain”. This area allows for logical, emotionless thought, as well as delayed gratification. It is by using our “human brain” that we are able to think through our responses, rather than just reacting. But, when we are faced with threats to our system, we don’t have time to stop and analyze what’s going on. During these times we are glad to have our **lizard brain” and “monkey brain” to get us to safety, through our fight or flight response.

This app provides a little help for you to better understand your “monkey brain”.

The test consists of three contextual questions about your mental state and a Stroop test in which the timing of the answers is analyzed. Thanks to the Stroop effects, the “monkey brain” is revealed by measuring the interferences it brings in the response time and in the correctness of the answers.

Try to take a test before and after a meditation session or any other activities and see how your Monkey Brain score change.
