It is the placing of the hand on the sick and saying a prayer all aimed at healing the sick. These are basically the only conditions that are required to make the patient well again. The person placing the healing hand is the healer and performs what is referred to as divine intervention with the spirit world to a deity to spare the patient’s life.
This is believed to be an act whereby someone is made healthy without using medicine or any other physical methods, it is mostly spiritual. It basically doesn’t bring any sense scientifically but this kind of healing has been with us throughout the years. Spiritual healers use a deity or a God depending on once faith and through murmuring some prayers with the hands placed over the sick, they become healed again.
Spiritual healing uses divine metaphysics through the understanding and power of the Natural Universal Laws to impart vital and curative forces to pathological conditions. This method has been a tenet of both ancient and modern religions.
Counting on the human being model, which is made up of the body, mind and the spirit, the concept surrounds the belief that it is the mind that controls the spirit and still it is the very mind that controls the conditions of all the other human parts. Feeding the mind with constructive thoughts makes the body healthy while destructive thoughts, on the other hand, creates ill health.
What does religion get to do with healing?
According to the Bible, humans conditions to be perfect and healthy in body, spirit and the soul. This is a condition that was made available for everyone. Therefore, there is a limitless supply of Divine Healing Energy considering that God provided it available to everyone in the spirit form. It is this divinity and natural laws of the universe that spiritual healers use during a healing.
The healers, believing in the limitless availability of a perfect health in the spirit form enter a prayer mode and start visualizing the person receiving healing. They request the presence of unseen forces to help provide the healing energy to the patient. They then visualize the patient in perfect health affirming the presence of the unseen forces, thus giving thanks for the harmony between the spirit body and the physical body.
These healers mentally instruct the patient to change their own mental energies towards positive and constructive thoughts. In this way, they become healed.
This type of healing, through divine intervention in the spirit world, depends on the faith of the patient. It all requires the patient to use their mental energies positively and convince the body parts that all is fine.
Various types of spiritual healing
There are six types of spiritual healing. These include Magnetic Healing, Absent Healing, and Distant Healing, Near to the Body Healing, Contact Healing and Trance Healing.
Magnetic Healing refers to the transfer of energy from one person to the other. The person transferring the energy is the healer while the receiver is the patient.
On the other hand, Absent Healing takes place without body contact with the patient. Distant Healing refers s to healing a patient from a distance. The healer mutters some prayer items while in a far distance and the patient receives their health back. Contact healing, however, refers to placing hands on the sick and making contact after which they receive their healing. Lastly, Trance Healing takes place just like it does in contact healing but in this case, the spirit guides the healer where to touch for healing to take place.
