이명(귀울림)은 전세계 인구의 10% 정도가 경험하는 흔한 질환으로 외부의 음원과 관계없이 귀나 머릿속에서 들리는 소리입니다. 대개 벌레(매미, 귀뚜라미)소리, 물소리, 바람소리, 파도소리, 싸이렌소리 등이며, 소음노출 혹은 노화에 의해 청력이 떨어지는 경우 흔히 들립니다.


< 프로그램 소개 >

이명(귀울림)은 전세계 인구의 10% 정도가 경험하는 흔한 질환으로 외부의 음원과 관계없이 귀나 머릿속에서 들리는 소리입니다. 대개 벌레(매미, 귀뚜라미)소리, 물소리, 바람소리, 파도소리, 싸이렌소리 등이며, 소음노출 혹은 노화에 의해 청력이 떨어지는 경우 흔히 들립니다.
[이명의 음악요법] 은 음악청취를 통해 이명을 완화시키는 애플리케이션으로 스마트폰에 탑재된 모든 음악을 사용자가 선택하는 대로 치료용 음악으로 실시간 변환시켜 청취할 수 있게 해줍니다.
첫 단계로 본인의 이명 높낮이(주파수)를 탐색하여 결정해주면 음악들을 선택하는 대로 이명주파수 범위는 제거하고 주변주파수를 증폭하는 기능이 작동되어 실시간으로 재생됩니다. 이 음악을 하루 2시간 이상 매일 6-18개월 동안 청취하면 뇌의 청각 담당 피질의 기능이 변화하여 이명이 사라지거나 줄어들게 됩니다. 이명의 발생에 관련된 청각 피질의 흥분성이 감소하는 연구 결과가 뇌파 및 이명 임상연구를 통해 입증된 치료법입니다.
이명의 높낮이(주파수)는 가장 비슷한 소리를 고르도록 하되 처음에는 제시된 [높낮이 보기]를 들어보고 가장 유사한 주파수를 하나 골라 그 숫자를 기준으로 위 아래로 탐색해가는 것이 쉽습니다. 크기가 달라져도 마치 높낮이가 다른 것처럼 혼동할 수 있으니 크기를 잘 조정하는 것이 요령이기도 합니다. 또는 이비인후과 전문병원을 방문해서 전문가의 도움을 받아 본인의 이명 주파수를 알아내어 이 숫자를 애플리케이션에 입력하는 것도 좋은 방법입니다.
음악을 청취할 때 너무 큰 소리보다는 이명의 크기와 비슷한 크기가 치료에 더 효과적입니다.
