From February 26 to 28, 2015, the city of Krasnoyarsk, with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, will host the 12th Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum "Russia: New Sources of Growth."

The forum, held annually in the Krasnoyarsk region, has become one of the most anticipated economic events of the year and entered the top three of most effective business activities of the country.

The main agenda of the forum this year will be the discussion of mechanisms for the implementation of a new strategy for economic growth, as defined by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in his programmatic article " Time for Simple Solutions Has Passed."

The development of the Russian economy tied to public demand, budgetary support methods and external market conjuncture can no longer remain the only source of sustainable economic growth in Russia. Existing social programs can be implemented only against the background of the economic growth of 4-5 percent in the region.

At the 12th Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum, leading Russian and foreign experts, in the form of an open dialogue with authorities, plan to discover new sources of growth in economy, as well as identify their capabilities and limitations.

The forum will last for three full days. The business program of the event will be implemented in four directions: "business activity and industry growth," " social services - focus on efficiency", "governance - reforms inevitable?" and "new sources of growth: the eastern vector".

The forum will feature presentations of development projects in Siberia - in the field of energy, transport and high-tech sectors.

The opening and completion of the main part of the business program of the forum will be held in the form of plenary meetings. The opening plenary meeting will define the objectives and targets for forthcoming discussions.

As part of the closing plenary meeting, it is planned to sum up results of the work and discuss recommendations on the implementation of the new economic growth strategy. The business program of the forum will be traditionally complemented by exhibition.

The main Russian partners of the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum in 2015 became the Russian Federation Government, Agency for Strategic Initiatives, Russian Academy for National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation.

In 2015, the international component of the forum is expected to strengthen considerably. World's leading experts were invited to participate in the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum 2015. The following participants have already expressed their consent to come to Krasnoyarsk: Angel Gurria (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development), Suma Chakrabarti (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development), Kaushik Basu (World Bank), Klaus Schwab (World Economic Forum), Gary Cohn (Goldman Sachs) and many others.

Experts, investors and entrepreneurs from the Asia-Pacific region were invited for the forum. The Forum will hold bilateral business dialogues (Russia-Japan, Russia–China, Russia-South Korea, Russia-India, etc.) devoted to the prospects of cooperation between businessmen from Russia and their foreign counterparts.
