This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing eCAT (Audit Tool) on PC Windows and Mac.

Not a great app. A lot lately it won't even scan the points. Have to manually use which is very annoying. Not a great idea to use a phone as a device to record clock points on a patrol. Your patrol is stopped if you have to receive a phone on the work phone and also a greater chance of breaking the phone which has be done before and we were left without a work phone for a week till replaced. Many times you can't submit as it says logged in on another device or no connection.

After update more things to press . Important time is wasted and distractions from real work ( takes long time to read clock point and accept ) after patrol done another time is wasted waiting till application will send the data) Technically we observing the phone not everything around. The application maybe is good for office but not for heav duty jobs( External clock points , whether condition)Mobile phones are not exactly waterproof, shockproof , dirtproof and easy to drop.

The support (David Potter) is alwats fantastic and quick. Issues usually sorted same day. Ability to change room names and add new rooms would beneficial in places with altering spaces/room types. Also, we have had some downtimes recently leading to issues (App says check network connection) on multiple devices

Our purpose in the beginning, today, and for the next 30 years is to make it easy and feasible for organizations, using mobile technology, to get an instant, accurate and complete picture of the state or status of anything so that they can better manage their operation.
The consensus was that technology wasn’t enabling people to easily and quickly create, edit, roll out and manage their own audits. Solutions tended to be either specialist and rigid or general and unintelligent. Auditors found they had to amend their processes to fit the technology rather than the other way around and were still leaning heavily on either internal or external IT people. Most felt technology should do more of the work, e.g. once an anomaly was recorded that the system would automatically and immediately respond and create all required tasks, assignments and notifications. Some were even using dedicated hardware to record audits which seemed ridiculous when they already had smartphones and tablets.
To manage large organisations we certainly need heavy duty software solutions such as ERP’s and CRM platforms, but, we don’t need heavy weight technology for audits. What we need is a flexible, intelligent, mobile solution that enables us to better manage auditing; without IT people.
