About this app

The CHENNAI CUSTOM HOUSE AGENTS’ ASSOCIATION was founded on the 1958 with a limited and handful of Members by visionaries who had unlimited visions for the future of our fraternity.

It is with pride we share that it was this Association that conceived, created and conducted the C&F Scheme of the Port for decades in the most professional manner. Tempted by the successful manning and managing of the labour pool with a very healthy balance sheet, the Port decided and took over the entire Scheme from the Association which subsequently was merged with the Port Dock Labour Board.

We are a 60 year young Association that was instrumental in many Policy changes of the Nation so far as EXIM trade is concerned.

The Association was renamed as “CHENNAI CUSTOM HOUSE AGENTS’ ASSOCIATION’ in the year 1998 and registered as a Society under Societies Act.

Memorandum of Association, Articles of Association, Bye Laws, Rules & Regulations and Code of Conducts were created.

SOME OF THE NOTEWORTHY MILESTONE OF CHENNAI ASSOCIATION ARE:
Many of our Presidents have been the Presidents / Chairman of FFFAI, (an Apex Body of CCHAA)
CCHAA has been in the Board of Trustees of the Chennai Port for many terms,

This Association is a part of almost all Government forums related to EXIM Trade at local, Regional and National levels,
The Biennial Convention of FFFAI has been held in Chennai more than once – which is rare,

OTHER GLORIES OF CHENNAI EXIM TRADE
