Not functional on Sony Xperia XZ (F8331), Android 8.0.0, build 41.3.A.2.128. I would have loved to try this, but the user experience (in particular in my case of failure) is not good. I would suggest two actions to be taken: a) collect and publish a database of devices / firmware releases with known status (working and non-working b) have some timeout logic in the app which flags that the app could not do "its thing" and alert the user to the fact that the device may not be supported; right now the app sits there all bullet items are green, but exactly _nothing_ happens. Generally, I get a plain GPS fix after three seconds, a lock onto 18 satellites; GPS Status says "DOP = 1.4"

Basically works as advertised, but the position precision is not better than the standard GPS, despite it needs online data.

App requires SBAS corrections and so is no good for Africa!

Setup is very unhelpful but main issue is that even with full data and gps fix it doesn't show any location data.

About this app

WARNING: all smartphones do not support GNSS Raw measurements. Google publishes a list of compatible smartphones here: https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/sensors/gnss

PPP WizLite provides a precise geolocation for smartphones and tablets running Android N (Nougat). Based on raw GNSS measurements, the app combines RTK library and very high level algorithms developed by the French Space Agency (CNES PPP-Wizard).

Two methods may be used: "static" to get a fix position or "dynamic" to follow your position when moving.
While classic GPS positionning gives you an approximate location of around 10 meters, PPP WizLite will locate you with an accuracy of around 1 meter.

The application supports devices running Android 7 (Nougat) and later but has been validated on a LG Nexus 5X and Samsung Galaxys S8+. The app processes only L1 band measurements.
See also RTCM Converter in order to send RTCM data to casters.

PPP WizLite has been developed and designed by JOCS for the CNES (French Space Agency).
